On Friday April 25th 2018, the international seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility took place at Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute. It was organized by Abay University, Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute, Medeu Borough Hall and Bureau Veritas.
Among the participating organizations were EDC Paris Business School, Paris Diderot University and Scholtz von Gleich.
After the Scientific Affairs and International Relations vice rector Aktolkyn Kulsariyeva’s welcoming speech, each of the participants from the various invited organizations spoke.
The first one to present her research was Petia Koleva, doctor in Economics, who works for Paris Diderot University. After a short presentation of CSR, presenting the definitions and principles, she shared her knowledge on subjects such as Corporate Social Responsibility models in Western countries.
Alya Mlaiki, doctor in Management working at Paris EDC Business School then presented how Corporate Social Responsibility works in Tunisian companies, through a detailed expertise.
Marina Klopkova talked about Corporte Social Responsibility as a tool for developing the employer’s brand.
Finally a graduate from Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute, Mussakhanova A. presented her analysis of differences between French and Kazakh CSR, using concrete examples from the companies Orange (France) and KazakhTelecom (Kazakhstan). She has written her thesis on CSR and currently works for the company « Scholtz von Gleich ».
Public could ask questions on the subject at the end of the presentation, to which the presenters took time to reply as clearly as possible.
