January 25, 2018, a graduation ceremony was held for the graduates of the Master's degree programs of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute.

The ceremony was held with the participation of the Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Igor Rogov, the Ambassador of France in Kazakhstan, Mr. Philippe Martinet, and the First Vice-Rector of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, Maktagali Bektemesov. Graduates were also congratulated by representatives of the Sorbonne University Paris Cité, Anne Grinberg, Vice President for International Cooperation, INALCO; Antoine Cazé, Vice-President for International Cooperation, University Paris Diderot; Catherine Poujol, pedagogical coordinator of the ISK, INALCO; Petia Koleva, pedagogical coordinator of ISK, University of Paris Diderot.

As Mr. Antoine Cazé pointed out, the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute is an important project for the French educational system and has great potential. "The Institute is a vivid example of an active dialogue between Kazakhstan and France," Mr. Cazé said.

 

At the end of the ceremony, the Institute students made a musical gift to the graduates, singing several songs in French.
