The training "Psychology of Extreme Situations" (PSE) is an international project that never happened before in Kazakhstan, organized at the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute thanks to its collaboration with and with the help of the Studies on Central Asia French Institute (IFEAC). Among the 20 first participants, were present managers of Departments and Almaty schools and universities teachers, representatives of Almaty and Taldykorgan Akimats (townhalls), teams of the Extreme Situations Department of Almaty and the Red Cross. This training was taught by social psychology and personality experts: Zhamilya Namazbayeva (KazNPU Abay), Anel Sadykova (KazNPU Abay), Ewa Drozda (Paris Descartes University), Sabine Caillaud (Lumière University – Lyon 2).

The participants were awarded certificates that prove their capacities to put in practice adapted actions in case of extreme risks. This training can spread out at a larger scale in the future.
