The specialty "International Relations" of KazNPU Abay opened in 1993. Since then, more than 3,000 highly qualified specialists have been trained, many of whom work in the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, in the regional and city administrations, are deputies of the parliament, work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system, ambassadors, consuls and other responsible employees in foreign embassies of the republic, occupy prestigious positions in international companies and organizations.
During their training, they have access to good material and technical base: language and multimedia rooms, computer classes, satellite television and the Internet, distance learning, all conditions for obtaining the most up-to-date knowledge are created.
In 2014 the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev and the President of the French Republic F. Hollande opened the second branch of the USPC in the world and the only Sorbonne Institute in Kazakhstan in Asia. Graduates of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute receive diplomas from the University of Sorbonne Paris Cite and a state diploma of KazNPU named after Abay.
Within the framework of the bachelor's educational program, several modules are taught in French by French teachers.
Within the framework of the master's program 70% of the academic disciplines are taught by the leading professors of the USPC. The main language of instruction is French. Graduates of the Master receive fundamental knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis that guarantees them professional mobility.
